    BUILDING FOR SHOLOM

R’ Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin remains imprisoned and away from home. The wound is still open and its’ resulting tragedy continues to be felt by the Jewish community at large. The Judicial blow dealt to R’ Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin and his family close to ten years ago continues to resonate until today.

Much effort and resources have been put forth in trying to bring the Rubashkin saga to an end and that R’ Sholom Mordechai should finally be able to return to his wife and children. Surely those must and will continue. And still, we know that what occurs in our physical world merely echoes what we effect spiritually.

    THE LESSER KNOWN VENTURE-THE YESHIVA

Two decades ago, R’ Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin recognized an opportunity in Postville. It seemed like magic. Very far away from the tumults of city life, Postville would offer a serene and idyllic setting to stimulate the minds and nurture the souls of yeshiva students. In 1997, R’ Sholom Mordechai seized the opportunity and founded the Mesivta of Postville. He then passionately continued to pour his money, his heart and his soul into it.

Now also called Bais Sholom, the mesivta is led by world renowned Rosh Yeshiva, Hagaon HaRav Sholom Ber Gurkov, Shlita; a noted elder chossid and talmid chochom. Our magidei shiur and hanhala members care for every talmid, encouraging their personal success. Indeed, our talmidim experience the serenity of Postville and the dedication of our hanhala as conducive to growth in Torah, middos tovos and yiras shomayim!

    WE’RE BREAKING DOWN OUR WALLS

We are expanding our capacity and opening our doors to double our current enrollment capacity. Additionally, we are making key renovations which will enable us to provide our current and future talmidim an enhanced material and academic experience.

Some 10,000 square feet will be transformed into two kitchens, a dining room, ten bedrooms in a new dormitory wing, classrooms and more. The projected total cost for the renovation and build out is $800,000.00 and the project is already underway.

    HELP BREAK DOWN HIS WALLS

Mesivta of Postville is R’ Sholom Mordechai’s remaining legacy and pride in Postville. Surely it will stand as a special merit for him in his present time of great need so that he too can break through the walls of his constraints!

The Mesivta of Postville is a gem among the broader family of yeshivos. Together we will make it shine brighter. Be a contributing partner; make a crucial and lasting impact for the yeshiva and send R’ Sholom Mordechai home.

This campaign has the express endorsement and encouragement of the Rubashkin family.
