Atica, the popular Crown Heights-based menswear line, will be opening a pop-up men’s shop of dress shirts. The shop will be offering a special 3 shirts for $100 deal along with special discounts for Shluchim • Full Story

A Shliach’s uniform is instantly recognizable: white shirt, black suit, black hat. But does it count as a white shirt if its not, well, white anymore? Who has time for laundry bleach and endless ironing when there are programs to run, Mivtzoyim to do, and classes to teach?

Shluchim are busy 24 hours a day and need their wardrobe to keep pace through the long Tishrei months, the community Farbrengens, the fundraising meetings, and more.

That’s where Atica’s stain-resistant, non-iron, luxury shirts have stepped in and quickly become a wardrobe favorite around Crown Heights and in Chabad Houses around the world. The online retailer is famous for the premium quality, durability and affordability of its dress shirts. The shirts have proven to be wrinkle resistant and breathable, offering four-way stretch and moisture wicking properties that keep the wearer comfortable and confident no matter how busy their day.

“Our shirts are perfectly geared for Shluchim,” explains Reuven Kaminetzky, the founder of Atica. “Many have just accepted that their average dress shirt that gets regular wear will last about a year. It doesn’t have to be that way. Shluchim are too busy to be buying new shirts every few months and we want to offer them the best bang for their buck. From the elegant look to the durability, these shirts can be put through the wringer and still keep you looking your best.”

Atica will be offering special rates to Shluchim at the pop-up shop. The pop-up is also a part of the store’s longer-term plan to open a permanent Crown Heights clothing boutique.

“We want to take care of our Shluchim and take care of the needs of local Anash who crave a better clothing experience,” says Kaminetzky. “We are excited to grow with our community and dress the next generation of Shluchim as well.”

The Atica shop is located at 260 Kingston Ave (Across the street from Borsalino)
